This is a Santa wall hanging that I did several years ago. I had a pattern for Santa and added the bear and moose from other patterns.
This is my sons log cabin, I made this a long time ago. He brought it home for washing and a little repair. Some fabrics hold up so well and others don't. I appliqued over the logs to repair them.
Well, tomorrow is the big day. We are driving back to Virginia in the very early morning hours.
I have really enjoyed my stay here and kinda hate to go home just yet, but family obligation calls.
I have a big Thanksgiving dinner to prepare, as well as a new nanny job to start on Monday.
The bad side is the hot water heater went out last week and its not that old so it is under warranty and I just need to pay the labor. Always something. Gladly all the repairs are were made and everything should be fine now.
I have only been to one quilt shop on this stay. Queens Ann's Lace hear in town. The shop went under new ownership several years ago and downsized. I don't find too much to my liking anymore. I love the period fabric like civil war era with lots of browns. They used to have a whole department of period fabric. I didn't find anything on this trip. I found two other shops in Orlando with great websites. You could really see what they stocked but driving directions tell me they are both about a 45 minute drive so we decided not to make the trip. I do have a super sized Jo Ann close by. I have been there several times for fabric and knitting yarn. Everything I need.
My daughter is living here now and I hope to be back in the early spring. See you in Virginia.
Enjoy your day,
Jackie
I didn't expect you to head north so soon. And I didn't realize that you daughter lives here now. I thought she just came down for a visit.
ReplyDeleteHi Jackie, I just came by and saw the quilts and loved them. I feel like I've found a new friend and can't wait to get to know you more. Thank you so much for visiting my blog. Blessings today.
