Hi Friends,
I just love to gas up the van and take off for the day or weekend. This is something I started to do with DH and now I take little trips by myself or friends.
Yesterday I had the day off of work and last minute decided that since it was a nice day I would go somewhere for a fall drive.
I ended up covering some grounds and headed over the mountain to Amish country in Dayton Virginia.
I visited a great little pottery early in the day , several used book stores and antique shops. I ended up at a quilt shop that my quilting group used to visit often over in the valley. It seems that we don't take these trips as a group anymore. Maybe I can talk them into it!
I was a nice day, but I didn't buy anything. I have been collecting for so long that I really have to want something in order to bring it home. I have decided tht I am going to try and not buy any little things for awhile and save up to replace several pieces of funiture. We will see how this goes!
